The 2-week long pilot program aimed to empower MCPS high school students with jewelry craftsmanship through computer-aided design (CAD) and knowledge about gemstones.

The highlight of the program was the hands-on experience students got with the Moijey 3D jewelry design software and ultimately crafting their very own gemstone jewelry. This hands-on activity, is aligned with the subject matter of the book My Crystal Powers," authored by Moijey Fine Jewelry & Diamonds President and CEO, Dan Moijueh. As a token of appreciation, each student received a complimentary copy of the book, further igniting their interest in gemstones and jewelry.

Daniel Moijueh, the driving force behind Moijey Fine Jewelry & Diamonds, said, We believe that education is the key to empowerment, and through the Moijey Mine to Finger 3D Jewelry Program, we are delighted to provide students with valuable knowledge about gemstones and jewelry through our CAD program. Our instructors – Cynthia Bardwell, Kerriann Gayle, and Dawna Phillips – were the key to this pilot program’s success. We couldn’t have done this without these skilled and very capable ladies.”

Daniel continued, “Our commitment to our community extends beyond jewelry sales, and this program is a testament to our dedication to education and giving back.

Closing ceremonies culminated at the Bethesda North Marriot Hotel & Conference Center where all Moijey Mine to Finger 3D Jewelry Program student participants received certificates of completion from the host program.
